What we like
- We think what the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, are doing with their OpenCourseWare project should be applauded.
- Even though they are one of the most selective academic institutions in the world, they want everyone everywhere to be able to learn for free.
- They publish materials from their courses online, including interactive learning, full textbooks, and lectures (video).
- Not only is everything free, you don’t even have to register to access materials.
- Furthermore, you can download anything (including videos) to keep forever, and/or for offline use.

- Their mission is to provide a free, world‑class education to everyone.
- Personalised learning resources, for all ages.
- Particularly useful for school children of all variety of ages, anyone of any age can use these resources to refresh their knowledge or even learn something new.
What we like
- If Khan Academy was only offering their free 8,000+ video lessons, on a wide range of subjects, we would still be highly recommending this site.
- We love how the lessons are short form, and therefore easily digestible.
- The site goes so much further than just videos, creating a personalised learning experience, making this one of our favourite resources. This helps material really sink in for learners, rather than the results of just passively watching videos. Watch the videos, then use the practice exercises, and teaching tools.
- There is progress tracking too, so for example parents can keep an eye on their child’s progress.

- P2PU is in fact an acronym for Peer 2 Peer University, which gives you an idea of what it is about.
- P2PU believe that knowledge should be freely shared, and learning is best done with others.

What we like
- We love what P2PU are trying to do. If you find it difficult to motivate yourself learning on your own, this site offers something unique, and for free (they are a non-profit).
- You can join a study group for a topic you are interested in, or even organise one yourself.
- You will communicate with your fellow study group members via video chat, and messaging.
